Came across this tractor today. Has a loader and 3 remotes.

2013 model.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to pay specific attention to during a thorough test drive?

Paint of loader is more orange than the tractor. Ssqa setup. Supposedly dealer serviced.

Would you buy it?

Yes. Sound alike a solid price and good hours for that models

SSQA is great, makes for swapping out implements easy and fast.

Color of the paint is kind of meh - Kubota paint fades, always has for whatever reason. I wouldn't worry much about that, but take a look at the engine and check for leaks, smoking, etc. Check the hydraulic hoses for cracks and/or leaks. Look at the rigid lines to see if there are any stress cracks (odds are there aren't).

Make sure the loader runs strong through the entire range of motion, you can find information at www.tractordata.com to get a feel for how long it shoudl take to raise, lower, etc. that will help make sure you have a strong hydro pump.

The HDC is a hydro shuttle, so run it through forward and reverse to max speeds, listen for unusual whine (hydros are going to whine no matter what). Check the hydro fluid and see if it is clean or dirty, milky, etc.

1600 hours shouldnt' be anything to worry about as long as its been taken care of.

Have one. Be sure to have both front hub drive seals checked if its 4 wheel drive. Only issue I have had with mine

Yes, FWA and cab.

I'm passing on it for now. I've got enough issues with squeaking belts. It was a one owner, but that owner never drove it.

On those HDC model Kubotas, when can you shift with clutch vs needing to be fully stopped? Like on a 40 series Deere quad range needing to be stopped between ranges and forward/ reverse but clutch ok between 2 and 3rd.

I assume forward and reverse is clutchless with the reverser on left side. But I didn't see any stickers regarding the range or gear movement.

FNR - no clutch
Change gears - clutch unless you are floating gears with no load.
Ranges- clutch and probably stopped

Keep in mind that this tractor has no DPF.
If you pass on it, would you PM me it's details?

That's a really good tractor. I've got a 5040 a little older and it has been great.
