Went to the range and fired 15 rounds flawlessly, fired five to zero the Vortex Strikefire red dot, and then put ten within 2 inches at 100 yards. put another ten in the magazine, rounds 16, 17,18,19,and 20 all failure to fire. Was using Republic ammo, so tried some Tula, same rounds failed to fire again. Took a look at each of them, two had very light primer strikes, the next three had no marks at all. Took it home opened it up and the tip of the firing pin is mashed about halfway back. Needless to say this jewel is going to go back to Midway, (yes it was there house AR Stoner Brand), because they did not have replacement firing pins in stock. Will be getting the same upper back, but already have new titanium firing pins meant for the AR in 7.62x39. The rest of the upper was great, accurate right out of the box, fit perfectly with the Eyeguy built lower, was very happy for 15 rounds. Nice thing about ARs, they are easily fixed and upgraded, and firing pins are cheap, well cheaper than about every other part. Need less to say there will probably be future upgrades to other parts, but at the price I paid for it (on sale), and given Midway makes returns and what not so easy, it was worth it.
