Trailers parked on my land

I have a piece of land that a neighbor continually parks his trailers on. Three of them.

I ask him to remove and he does...I come back and they are there. I am getting fined by HOA b/c they are against HOA restrictions.




What is my best recourse in terms of removing them? Is there a Harris County resourse that will remove them?

Seriously tho, are they in decent shape? Easily towable? Send the guy a certified letter demanding that they be removed by a certain date or you will have them removed. If he does not remove them by that date then sell them on craigslist.

Document everything with photos and dates. I would think that would protect you if he claims you stole them.

Well in my experience with the wonderful tow truck drivers around College Station, the owner pays when he comes to get his trailer. Otherwise the tow company gets them and they can auction them off to recoup their money.

Got two wrecker services to answer the question. Here goes:


Sign a handwritten letter to wrecker company stating "I __evestor1__ owns this property and I do not own these trailers. Please tow them immediately"


In this case the charge is $250 per trailer. I am going to text him to remove again. If they are still tomorrow I'll let him deal with the wrecker service.

First action.......... tell your HOA to go **** themselves!

Second action........ call local P.D. or S.O. and ask what you can do legally

Third........ do what they say you are allowed to do

If none of that works, I like the pink spray paint idea!

Newport? I lived there and my parents move to Indian Shores after I left and I remember the Newport HOA was more of a pain about random stuff.

Have someone (me) run the license plates on the trailers to verify they are not yours. Send a copy of the registration to the HOA along with a notarized letter explaining that the owner does not have your permit to park them there but he keeps doing it anyway.

Step 1: Cut some of his trees down

Step 2: Hook up the trailers and tow them somewhere hidden, then leave a treasure map on his front door with clues to his scavenger hunt. Make it as elaborate as possible. Set up cameras along each stop of the scavenger hunt, sell the rights to netflix

Step 3. ???

Step 4: Profit

Speak with him one more time outlining it is your property and he does not have permission to park his trailers there. If you see the trailers there again you will have them towed.

Personally if I were in your situation, if he parks them there again I would probably hook up to them and drop them off in his front yard.

I always try to be considerate with people but there is a line.

Unhook using a hi-lift jack and trailer's jack all the way up or removed just to make a point with the coupler sitting on the ground.

Without going into a lot of detail, vin plate these days are riveted on and often become damaged and unreadable. i understand There exists a home made trailer title whereby you only need it officially weighed. The owner of the trailer is the dude who brings it in and applies for said title. Just saying. It'll get a new VIN.

This is absolutely stealing and every county requirements are different so YMMV.
