Been seeing a group of pigs lately. Saw 25 yesterday evening, but of course didn't have a gun.
This morning I went to the same spot, which is a protein feeder next to a pond in a back corner of the ranch. Parked about 200 yards away and snuck in behind the pond… it was still pretty dark. Pigs got there right as I did.
One sow saw me and started running full speed towards me. I couldn't see **** through my sight, but shot when she was probably 10 yards or so. She made an immediate 90 and ran off to my left. No idea if I hit her. All the other bacon scattered, so I went back to the buggy to wait a bit (it was barely 7:00)
About 7:10 I eased down another road, where I could work the brush line if there were pigs there. I could see the feeder through the brush and sure enough, 2 little piglets eating dropped protein.
I eased down the brush line till I got to about 35 yards, got on one knee and let 'er rip at the bigger of the two… Heard a splat, and one down. Second one stood there looking at his compadre. I let one fly and missed. He ran around in a couple circles before stopping again. Didn't miss the second time

Looked around for the rest of the squad, but to no avail.
