I need to replace some older Howard Leight electronic ear muffs. What is the go to? I'd like to keep it under $150. I found these on Amazon that seem to fit the bill, but wasn't sure if there is anything else I should consider.

I picked some Walker's up at Sam's club last fall. I have been very impressed with them. I am not sure they accept bluetooth connections.

I have a pair of Walker Razors for over ear protection and I also have a pair of axil gs extreme in ear.

Not to hijack OP, But do any of you on here use your shooting ear protection on airplanes? (Note, not for SHOOTING on an airplane.) I travel a lot and have a nice pair of noise canceling headphones that are nearing the end of their useful life. I am wondering if I can get some that are designed for shooting that will also work on an airplane.

I think the drone of the engines and general ambient noise in a commercial plane would be almost unbearable with electronic ear muffs, which are specifically designed to dampen high dB peaks, but heighten others.

Bought a set of Walker's electronic ear muffs - Razor i think. Bluetooth capable. Used them for one of the training classes I went to, was pretty pleased with them overall. Fit was good (didn't hurt my ear lobes), the electronic component was really nice so you could carry convos on between shooting sessions, and the fact that it was cold AF meant that they helped keep your ears warm as well.

I didn't try out the bluetooth capabilities, so can't speak on that.

I love my Walker Razors with gel ear cups.

Have owned everything listed here: howards, walkers and peltors.

The walkers sound really tinny to me so I'm not a big fan. Peltors should be an upgrade from the Howards for you, imo.

Ended up with these Walkers because of the price. Definitely an upgrade over the old ones.
