Thanks to Jeremiah Johnson, I'm the proud owner of a CMMG Banshee 9mm.

I own a Griffin Armament Revolution 9mm suppressor.

Can I just thread it on, or do I need an adapter?

CMMG says 1/2x28 thread…I think the Griffin is the same…but they recommend spacer/3-lug for PCC?

I don't know much about it.

9mm silencer will be just fine direct threaded on a Banshee.

I have a Banshee SBR in .45acp with a direct threaded silencer. 1000 rounds through it with no issue.

I direct thread my Rugged Obsidian on my 9mm CMMG banshee and it works great.

Y'all may mean this already, but I wanted to point out that you shouldn't run a booster system or Nelson device on a PCC without a fixed barrel spacer or fixed mount. You can use your piston if you replace the spring with the fixed barrel spacer, or use a fixed mount which replaces the booster system all together. But if you leave the spring in and run on a PCC, you're doing unnecessary damage to the threads on the PCC and the can, and increasing the risk of baffle strikes.

This is basically what I was reading…

With the spring and piston left in place on a fixed barrel/PCC…the repeated jarring can mess things up

Probably doesn't matter for most, but with a binary trigger like mine has, maybe it will?

Correct, the booster will transfer unneeded energy back to the gun, which will beat up that junction. But also, the piston is designed to unlock and allow that spring to compress. With a fixed barrel, it may not go back into place properly and can yield baffle strikes. Even without the binary you should have a fixed mount or a fixed barrel spacer. With the binary, even more so in my opinion.

You don't HAVE to buy the spacer that your respective company offers. Any sleeve that size will work…. PVC has made many fixed barrel spacers on the cheap for guys!
