Having trouble finding a good source of the value of these. Not super knowledgeable about Enfields other than I've always wanted one.

It's a savage made Enfield no4 mk1 marked US property, all matching in great condition. No bayonet or sling.

Anyone know enough to help me pinpoint what a fair price is to purchase one?

Gun Broker search for completed items. Wide range depending on condition.

My Dads got a Indian (India) Enfield chambered in .308. Cool gun, very accurate too.

jw......The .303 No 4 MK 1 were actually produced by Stevens arms which was a division of Savage. They were built for Britain under the Lend Lease Agreement in the US. Hence the "US Property" stamping. Current Blue Book value ranges from $1400 for a 100% condition rifle to $650 for a 60% condition rifle. This % value is based upon the amount of blueing left on the rifle and its stock or wood condition as well.
Values above can be enhanced also by having various accessories like bayonets, etc.
Serial numbers should contain the letter C and components may be marked with a square "S".
They are very historical worthy rifles and would be a cool addition to anyone's collection.

Caution should be used if it has been modernized or "sporterized" as this was commonly done to them post WWII to make them sporting, hunting rifles. The action of the Enfields was very smooth and had a stronger lock up than the 1903 Springfields of that time.

Also should be noted that dealers and collectors look at the Blue Book Values as a kinda of "retail' price.

Picked this up yesterday. An enfield has always been on my ww2 guns bucket list. I just need a german kar98k and a springfield 1903a now since I've already got a garand.

Pretty cool rifle, wood is in fantastic shape.
