Decided to replace my red dot with something with some more magnification and want to be sure I buy the right rings/rail.

Any recommendations on what to use to mount this?

Also if anyone is interested in a Vortex Sparc II red dot, the one I'm taking off is like new. I still have the original box and paperwork for it. Would part with it for $100.

1" tube, 40mm objective, you'll need medium height rings for picatinny rail. I'd go with the Burris Xtreme, Weavers, or Leupolds.

Thread went a different direction than I was expecting based on the title.

Need taller rings for AR.

But better to go with cantilever mount. Aeroprecision is my favorite
