In League City/ Kemah. Anyone familiar with a puppy training class that they recommend? Golden Retriever, 13 weeks or so. I already lost count. Not looking for a drop off, not looking for retriever field trials or anything like that. Just basic puppy obedience. I would prefer a class with other folks over someone coming to the house.

Not super against the PetSmart classes, but not super excited about that option. Also not super excited about watching YouTube and then doing it, but that might be my best option. If you know of a good YouTube that works, please share. Anyway, he is ready for some manners. Here is a pic or two of the little monster.

I love Stonnie Dennis on YouTube for basic obedience and manners. He gets into other stuff as well, but I really like his approach and philosophy. I watch his videos and then I work one on one with my dog in the backyard. Group lessons are a great way to introduce some socialization though.

I don't know anyone in the area. I will say it's about 50/50 puppy training and owner training, usually, unless we've got an experienced dog owner. Training a retriever should be incredibly easy.

Looks good. The website didn't have anything about puppy training. Do they just lump the puppies into the regular obedience class?
