How long do you want to ignore this user?
I've been tasked with finding a multi-tool with a seat cutter and glass breaker.

I've found the 3 in 1 auto-hammer tools but have researched and found that these work best on tempered glass - and not well at all on laminated glass.

So, being that my vehicle has laminated glass, and I'm guessing many others do too, I'm trying to get something that's practical BUT also has the glass breaker/seatbelt cutter to "meet the objective".

Thanks in advance.

I ( and all my Soldiers) had these issued to us on a deployment to Afghanistan. I cannot personally comment on glass breaking, but cutting is great. Lots of reviews on amazon and one claims to had tested on glass at auto junkyard.

They work well on glass. Saw an NCO twirling one once and was just palming it, got into a conversation with somebody and leaned up against his car. He got to buy himself a new window.

We got one of those for Afghanistan & this auto knife for Iraq. Wonder if Gerber just sends readiness a bunch of stuff & tells them to give them to random deploying units. Cool of them, if so.

Leatherman Raptor Trauma Shears might be a solution.

Lifehammer Safety Hammer Evolution - Automatic Emergency Escape and Rescue Hammer with Seatbelt Cutter (1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ASKSB1M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RGRPV4NY9RD6Z8Z9G2CT

I got one of these as a gift at work. I haven't had to use it, but in planing with it I put a pretty decent dent into my desk. It has a spring loaded ceramic pin that goes off when you press against the glass. I like the fact that as long as you can get to the glass and press the device against it it'll break it. You don't have to have much room to swing or use much of your own strength to make it work. Hopefully I never have to actually use it.

I have a Smith and Wesson knife from Tractor Supply. Cost $9. Has the belt cutter and the glass break point.

Don't get the LA Police gear knife, the clasping system is weak and breaks after a few months so the blade never locks.

You're not going to shatter laminated glass out of a vehicle. That's simply not how it works or is designed.

Besides your windshield where else on your vehicle has laminated glass?
