Our older fertilizer spreader is just about done. We need to pick up something new to put down some winterizer. Spread over about 2 acres of land and I would like to use it with my Grizzly Zero Turn.

What are yalls thoughts?

I have a Brinly-Hardy. My beef with it is that it has a flat spot at the bottom of the hopper that prevents it from fully dispersing all the material. I typically have to wind up dumping what is left into a handheld spreader and doing it that way. If I were buying again, I'd look at an Agri-fab...but for all I know, they have the same issue.

I have an agrifab from tractor supply. It doesn't have that issue but I have had the broadcast rate adjustment slip while in use. I suspect all the small setups are going to be flaky to some degree.

I have the AgriFab. Got it at Northern Tool about four years ago. Works great. Use it on about 1.5 acres a couple of times a year.

I welded a washer on a piece of metal rod to make a "hitch" for my zero turn. Rod slides in-between two u-bolts on back of zero turn, pin from spreader goes through washer. Hangs down out of the way when not use. No issues.
