Went and bought a pack of red man golden blend. Been chewing it for about a week. I think I had some sort of parasite living in my gut and red man killed it off.

If you got gut problems, or any kind of problems, try chewing tobacco for a week and report back here.

I chew Levi Garrett. Sometime it's $14. My normal store quit supplying it, so I had to buy a green bag of Red Man.

My dad goes into Oklahoma and buy stokers chew in 1lbs bags. A case is 20 lbs.

Love me some Levi Garrett. I usually find it around $12-14. But I did see it as high as $17 one time. Unfortunately, that was on the way to a Baffin fishing trip and was our only stop, so I bought two.

As for the OP's choice, I tried it once when I couldn't find Levi. I thought it had a funny tangy flavor. It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Stokers is almost as good and is $2.

I chewed Levi for 20 years and quit when it went to $3 per pouch. Usually could get it for
$1.39 if I bought a box of 10. Been quit almost 20 now. Can't imagine y'all pay that much now, but that chew right after lunch sure was nice. I still dream about it occasionally.

When I worked at the co op in college a local rep for some tobacco company would load us up with Levi, grizzly, or whatever else she had in the back of her van. Chewed a lot of Levi back then.

My dad chewed Levi. Unbelievable how much that stuff is now.

Beechnut or bust here. But it's so damn hard to find...I try to buy a handful anytime I can get my hands on some.

I can still smell the spit from my grandpa's Redman in the Wolf Brand Chili can.

I think that is why I have never been able to tolerate chew...did ok with dip...but chew nearly always made me want to puke.

Being a former dipper I still look at the dip cans and check out prices....saw it was like $6+ for copenhagen the other day...wow....

Worst stuff I ever had was free Lancaster in the slick black and gold pouch. It always deadened my tongue and lips. They gave it away at the Houston Fatstock show.

Not sure if they still do or not....reminds me of when Skoal and others would set up tents on the back of northgate and give our "samples" for doing surveys.

I remember asking everyone I knew to go through the tent and score me a free can!

My grandfather used to chew Levi up until the mid-90s. Got stomach cancer and quit cold. Never saw him after that without pockets and cupholders full of lifesaver peppermints. Found a full case of Levi in a cupboard when we cleaned out their house after my grandmother passed away in 2018.

Bet that case was less than $20 whenever she bought it for him.

as chilifest (back in the late 90s) was winding down one evening we were walking back to the truck and came upon the Kodiak girls......they were done for the day and said take anything from the van you want and boy did we. ended up with about damn near 100 cans of Kodiak ice and a stack of bumper stickers 2" thick. we were confident we had enough to last us the rest of the semester.....welp we never finished the first can. so then it was time to start selling it so we could afford some cope......think again after we sold 4-5 cans the word got out and we couldnt even sell it for .25 cents a can. semester came and went and i bet we pitched 75 cans or so into the trash.

Pretty girls handing out free snuff in college. Man I was born at the wrong time....

Grampa used to chew Levi Garrett. I used to chew it on occasion, but not much anymore.

Same here. Heading to the lease this weekend with my son to hunt, and this thread is calling to me.

WOW! I had no idea LG or any chew was that high now!!
I chewed for about 20 yrs. (15-35), Red Man, RM Gold, LG, Workhorse, Beechnut, a bunch I can't remember.
My favorite was a plug called Blood Hound, couldn't find it too many places in Matagorda county then but when i did I'd buy 6-8 at a time.
I do miss it but I bought my last pack almost 15 years ago on a hunting trip and haven't bought another.....guess i need to go hunting again.

I'll hit up the LG for golf, road trips and hunting/fishing.

Copenhagen guy here but I'll take a chew sometimes. Grandfather was a Beechnut or Lancaster chew guy. Sometimes he'd have a plug of Cannonball. He'd also dip Copenhagen as well. I used to get my snuff by the role at the military base but that went to the way side as they don't sell tobacco on base anymore. I see though Tom Cotton submitted a bill to allow it to be sold on base. So now signed up for the Copenhagen Coupons as it helps say little money.

Had to quit 6 years ago. It put too big a dent in my sex appeal.

I've had no issues over the years dipping with the lady's in the past. Even my wife has no issues. It's what Alpha type guys like me do.

If you have stained teeth dipping is not the root problem, they likely have a mouth care problem as a whole not brushing, flossing and so forth. I move my snuff around in different spots. I also will floss, mouth wash and brush after a dip outside if I'm somewhere I can't. I keep stuff in my truck to do that, my office at work and the house. I also get two cleanings done twice a year and my dentist uses the ultraviolet light to check my mouth. I've had no issues at all and teeth are great. I've been dipping since I was 17 and dipped while working the Ranch, Baseball, Work, and as a former Marine Corps Operator.

I was sorta joking.

Granted there are 2 types of dippers....those that care and those that do not. I was poking jabs at those who do not and it is pretty obvious.

When i use to dip, I would floss and rinse as well after. I dipped when I met my wife. She did not mind. Main reason I quit is lower health insurance / life insurance rates. Honestly having higher rates of those two things PLUS the cost of the dip....just struggled with the "value"

If dip was treated like alcohol or other unhealthy habits for insurance purposes I would probably go buy a roll tomorrow....

Y'all should see a before/after of a radical neck dissection for oral & throat cancers. Can't see the risk/reward on this one at all...

Back when I did chew, I'd mix regular Red Man with Big League Chew pink bubble gum. It was a great combo. I gave it up at least 25 years ago. I like to cross off possible types of cancer that I could get.

I knew you were poking fun and I do agree some guys that use tobacco don't take care of themselves. I hear you on insurance stuff I'm lucky to have a job our health insurance PPO it's the same for everyone. My work pays for my health insurance, I only pay for the family. Then work pays for myself, wife and kids life insurance. I also have medical as a retired Leatherneck. I understand the cost part I use the coupons but it's still not as cheap as it used to be and I can't get it tax free anymore on the base. I wouldn't be able to function without a dip Lol, I'd be a mean *******. The snuff or my love for beer may end up getting but I do everything I can to limit any health issues and take care of myself. When the day comes I'll go out my way.
