My experience is you can always unzip a bag or untuck a quilt. Shivering cold sucks. After spending the money on the tent and stove, I almost didn't upgrade my bag. After last year, money well spent. It's not realistic to tend a stove every 45 minutes all night.

I have an EE -10 degree bag with foot box and zipper. Couldn't be happier.

I keep a 30 bag for early season, but I always end up going 2nd or 3rd rifle.

So does the stove hold coals ok? In terms of stoking the fire if you wake up in the middle of the night is that pretty easy? How long does the fire last?
