Taking a few guys to Louisiana that want to bay fish and offshore fish. Have gone many times to the same guide in Houma but wanted to see if any new suggestions.

Would like to have a place to stay on bay and boat pick us up.

Thanks tried Mexican Gulf earlier in the week and they are booked up for the foreseeable future

Rent a houseboat or condo in Venice Marina, you can contact REO and see if they have some guides and lodging available. Many other quality guides down there, in fact I would say most are.

edit to add, I'll be over there from 8/15-26, so if you are there during that time, message me and we will have a drink after you get off the water.

Also, if you have to stay in the Houma area, maybe contact Bayou Dularge Marina and see if they know of any houses for rent and can hook you up with a guide. But personally, as much as I love Dularge, i'd get my ass over to Venice.

Thank you all for the replies, I said Houma but actually it was Chauvin. Not tied to that area.

I have stayed at the Sandpiper down in Cocodrie. It is a fine place. Don't have any guide reccs though.

Captain Buddy Bergeron out of Port Sulphur/Buras. Top notch person and will work hard to put you on fish. Have fished with him numerous times.

ETA : He does mostly inshore fishing but has plenty of contacts to get offshore.
