I know I'm late to this party, but I will speak highly of the Remington. I have the sps varmint in .308 with the 20" barrel. Great rifle, my only complaint about it was the stock isn't great for long range (500+yard) accuracy. the tactical version comes with a better stock I think. Other than that I ran it mostly as from the factory with an inexpensive redfield scope for years and it served me very well.

Henry Model X in 44mag. Comes with a factory thread barrel too if you want to shoot surpressed. Loaded with subsonic heavy grain bullets brings some impressive energy but sounds like a pellet gun. drilled and tapped if you want an optic, even has a rail at the end of the foregrip for a light etc.
