My Ed Brown was stolen in a home invasion. I replaced it with a Les Baer and the Baer is a fabulous gun. But I miss that Brown every time I holster up.

Also if someone wants one... I have an Ed brown special forces allocated to me. I believe it's a commander size not for op but for what it is, I'll have a great price on it

I have owned a lot of 1911s over the years - I've had 2 Ed Browns. And, if I get another one day, it will be an Ed Brown. VERY nice gun, and worth the $$$

Find a reputable dealer or collector. ( like EyeGuy). Series 70 Colt. Also put on your wish list a Series 70 in 9mm. Very sweet to shoot as well.
Kimber Match also.
I took a tour through STI about 5 years ago. Pretty impressive then.

I picked up my first 1911 a few months ago, and it was a Les Baer.

You have good taste. I own 2 EB's. An executive carry commander in .45 and a special forces commander in 9mm. They are the top dogs of my 1911 collection.

AGA,

I will send you an email. Still thinking about what i would want to do with these weapons. I do not want you to overpay, and I am not really wanting to take a cut. They have never been fired, outside factory testing before shipment to the dealers.

If cost isn't an obstacle:

Springfield custom shop
Personally, I would not buy a Springer Custom Shop gun without seeing it in person.

In 2008, I custom ordered one (waited about 1 year on it), and it had some issues. I sent it back, and they worked on it - but their fix really sucked. I was never really happy with it after that.

A Springfield Professional that you can look at in person before ya buy it - get it. Custom order a 1911 from their custom shop from scratch, I would never do that again.

Check out my new 1911!!!

I'm an idiot sometimes. I promised myself that things would be different this time and that I would set the revolver cravings aside and spend the fun money on a 1911. But there it was and I couldn't resist. I've let down other people and myself. Again.

It's amazing with such little self control that I gave up the hard drugs back in the 90s.

So now I am buying one 1911 instead of two.

I've got 3 Ed Browns.

All the good things said of them is true.
