At one point, there was some uncertainty on the warranty from Costa after luxotica took over. Warranty program still works well. I had a pair of fantails with glass lenses for about three years. The rubber nose piece had fallen off and a portion of the rubber on the ear piece as well. Took some. Photos of it and submitted it through their online claim system with no proof of purchase. They sent a Ups label, mailed it back and got a new pair of frames with new lenses in about 4 weeks after submitting the claim.

Similar experience here. Very easy transaction. I actually upgraded my lenses for free.

Worst customer experience I've ever dealt with trying to get the same exact thing you did. Worn out nosepiece on Fantails. Months later, long conversations, and multiple pairs of wrong glasses later, I got a new pair.

I have the same thing on a pair of Fisch. I gave up about six months ago. I'll give it another try.

They always treated me right even while some of you were complaining. Love my Costa's. Finally broke down and got prescription instead is cheaters in them. Life changing.

I wear Ray ban eyeglasses and they have been great on warranty also. I'm pretty hard on glasses.

Curious if, when you guys fill out the warranty claim, it asks "in the event your claim does not fall under warranty do you authorize costa to charge up to $xxx.xx to your card for a discounted replacement?" (Paraphrasing... says something similar) do you check the box for "yes"?

Had 2 pairs break on me after owning them for 6 years. Did the warranty at the same time for both. Didn't take long to get the new ones back.

Finally put mine in the queue for warranty work. We will see. Same problem on both pair but I have a receipt for one pair and don't for the other.

Pair 1 - bought from academy probably in about 2011. Nose piece fell off (3rd time). Previous two times covered by warranty. Contacted Costa, they do not have receipt even though they've been in twice for work before luxorica took over.

Pair 2 - nose piece ripped. Have receipt.

Costa lenses are still better than anyone except maybe Smith.

And the issues with the glue separating on the rubber pieces is ubiquitous no matter the brand. It has to do with the oils human skin secretes mixing with sweat and sunscreen breaking down the glue. Nobody has figured it out.

My Maui Jims have been the best I have bought. But, I also don't like the blue/orange tinted glasses and prefer metal frames.

Yesterday I had my Costas in my shirt pocket and was loading an old mini fridge into the truck. Weight shift and I hear snap. Broke both arms off the frame.

Will be mailing to Costa this week. I fully expect to have to pay about $70 for a new frame.

I received an email about both pairs this morning. Apparently that model is out of production so they're going to send me a new pair for each. I haven't dug into it yet, but I'm skeptical because I have a big head and had the Fisch models to accommodate my big head. I have two days to make the decision according to the email.

Had the same experience. Been holding onto two pairs of broken Costas. Finally trashed one a year or so ago after being declined for warranty work about six years ago. Dunno if they'd honored a replacement under warranty this time around or not. Those were Filament style - frameless. And as you might expect, they broke on the nosepiece.

The second pair are Stringer style. The rubber on the earpieces has broken. Costa offered to replace them for free, but they're discontinued. And I must say the selection of replacement options is pretty unimpressive.

Waiting until 9:00a EDT to talk with them and see if there are more options. Specifically the Stringers are tortoise frames with copper lenses. The only offered one option for copper lenses and they're women's glasses. WTH?

Same thing with mine. "We don't offer this model anymore, so here's your choices." All plastic lenses when I sent them glass. A few had glass but they were camo and other completely different colors they probably had a ton of in stock.

My advice is get online and find a pair that says they're in stock and be ready with a model number to tell them you want that exact pair. You might have to settle for a black C instead of chrome or something like that but to me it was minimal differences. They just didn't have the exact pair I sent them in stock.

Costa wouldn't fix mine. Offered that I could pay them a great deal $190 for a new pair. *****

I was instructed to accept one of the options offered and then contact them in about 24 hours to confirm what I really wanted if it was in stock.

We shall see if that works.

My frame is loose even after being tightened all the way down. Not sure how I could explain that in pictures. I'll give it a shot though.

I emailed back to customer service what I wanted and received a response that an order had been placed for the model I wanted and I needed to send in my broken pair.

Considered trying to go for glass in lieu of plastic, but I'm replacing plastic, so I suppose that's a fair trade.

Maybe too late for you, but I have a big head and the fathom and Zane worked out for me.both are similar with the fathom being slightly thinner on sides.

Thanks. For my blue pair they have Fisch replacements. For my copper pair It looks like in stock are Ferg and Diego.

I shipped today. Going to do chat now to see about different glass choices.

Very surprised that they are covering my double arm breakage under warranty.

They gave me 5-6 replacement glasses to choose from. Two were XLs but contrary to many I don't have a big head.

So I picked one--black shiny frames and green lenses--which is very different than what I broke.

Printed a return label. Based on previous posts I'll call and see if there's wiggle room on picking a replacement.

Not sure I can trust someone that would wear these in public. Do they come with cargo shorts, leather flip flops, and a frayed bill hat?

I will be shipping tomorrow. I did send a separate email for both pair for my preferred replacement item number. I did ask for the chat incident number to refer to as well. We will see.

Pair 1: copper glass - emailed a product number that I wanted as a replacement. Said I will get that when they receive the glasses - copper glass replacement but different frames.

Pair 2: blue glass - emailed a product number but that is out of stock at the warranty facility. Asked me to email a few replacement options back.

Who has a big head and a frame style they like? I'll check out those previously listed as well.

I have the Zane and fathom. I like both, got warranty on the Zane last year. Bought the fathom off woot and they are very similar but a little thinner frame which could help with stretch on an extra extra large head. I wear a 7-1/2 to 7-5/8 fitted hat for reference.
