I am in the position of clearing several houses for a nonprofit project that I am working on and think it might be best to move the homes.

All homes are 1950 ranch style home in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. The homes are all clean and in good condition, all are 3/2 pier and beam homes so they should move easily. The company I have talked to about moving them seems to think it will cost about 20-30k depending on the house and the final location.

I have 3 of these homes left and would be happy to discuss with anyone that has a real interest. I am asking for a 5k donation to the nonprofit to cover the cost of demoing the rest of the lot.

Garland Habitat for Humanity did a project recently that involved moving some homes onto their lots. They could potentially be interested.

County tax appraisal of your one-acre homesite may be better for a moved home too, at least as compared to a new-build appraisal.
