I've been spotted around Victoria. From time to time, sometimes daily. At least that's what I've heard.
Las Palmas Huevos Rancheros is the best in town. Too bad the service is slooooooowww.
Yamato is pretty good Hibachi and Sushi for a town like Victoria.
The Bag is great for a beer, usually, but I don't go out for beer much, because of "no cigars" allowed in Victoria drinkhouses and got sports on the TV on the patio deck.
Best enchiladas is La Tejanita. Death by cheese.
Absolutely no good/great places for a steak. Roadhouse if you are desperate. As a traveler, you could get a good cut from HEB, salt/pepper, a $10 throwdown grill and coals from Walmart and you're better off.
M&M on Main St (narrow section of a mostly abandoned strip mall) is OK, however for breakfast, they have a special of Carne Guisada (or barbacoa),eggs, beans, potatoes, and serving of pico de gallo that is an inexpensive freakin' winner. Just right if you don't eat both tortillias that come with it. Get nothing done after that if you eat them both (big).
I can say I have not eaten Burger Nations food/burgers. Not from lack of trying. Their order takers/service people were rude on my first visit. Like really so. So much I left and did not intend to go back. Never is a strong word, though, as I have learned, so I have not used it here. That was 4 years ago, but have not gone back. Would take a strong convincing to do so.
Moo Moo's fried chicken is supposedly very good, but every time I have headed that direction for fried chicken, life has derailed me.
Sounds like we got a few Ags from around, working in or around, or in Victoria. Or spotted there from time to time. I know I have met one from Texags.
