Where in Colorado? Guides at Duranglers are good.

Went with Pat Dorsey this past Friday. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. Great guy that put us on the fish. Three different experience levels in our group and he handled each of us just the way we needed. https://bluequillangler.com/
Look him up on the YouTube. He has some great videos out there.

I live in Evergreen but where is less important than "awesome experience", "huge trout", or "the guide was the best".

A great experience is fishing the Rio Grande near Creede during the salmon fly hatch in late June - early July. Nonstop action. The Duranglers guides go to Creede and camp out for the +/-3 weeks of the hatch. I did this with my son Brien when he was about 10. One of our best memories together.

I stopped at the outlet mall in Silverthorne over spring break to use the restroom and there were several big trout just chillin' under the pedestrian bridge. Might be worth a shot to give that a go.

If it's great, I can go there. Looking for the best experience, not geography.

Steve Henderson with Straightline sports is a great guide. June is your month. July and August get hot and it's tougher. The Yampa river has a lot of 20+ inch fish. It is a quality fishery versus a quanity.

Nothing to add other than I'm jealous you get to call Evergreen home and I don't.

Jason Booth with Gunnison River Guides. You can stay in Gunnison, Crested Butte, or Almont. He is awesome, and the float trips are amazing.

My dad, brother and I have been fishing with Tim from https://coloradoflyfishingguides.com/ for years. He always puts us on great fish because he has access to a few Ark fishing leases that don't get a lot of traffic. He's based out of Leadville. Would highly recommend him.

Bucking Rainbow Outfitters in Steamboat is a great one. Have fished with them every summer for the past 15 years all over the place. Some of my favorite spots are the private ranches, Stetson and Phippsburg. Have caught huge browns and rainbows there. Tons of fish
