We just replaced our roof and my parents next door in January finally from the storm last May.

Inspector came this morning. After 10-15 minutes up there I came outside. He said "you won't believe this but I can find any hail damage on the shingles". I'm thinking there's no way. We had golf ball sized hail. Table in the back was all marked up that didn't have any damage from last years storm. Vehicles have a multitude of dents, some pretty decent. The font of my box trailer that faces north is all marked up.

I got up there and walked the roof with him. Ridge vents are busted, metal vents over the vent hood and other areas are smashed to crap. Satellite dish receiver plastic is busted. But sure enough, no real visible damage to the shingles.

I'll likely have someone inspect again in a month or two to make sure but maybe the 3 month old shingles absorbed the strikes with no issues. We shall see. It certainly wasn't what I expected.
Similar story, just had my roof replaced over the winter. My guy came out to inspect and noted a couple of spots, but said he would be back in a couple of months. He said as the roof heats up in the summer, the gravel at damaged areas would sluff off and make the inspection easier.

Park your cars in the garage, people.

If you have more cars then garages, so be it, but otherwise, get rid of your crap and / or buy a vehicle that fits inside.

Currently parked inside are a Tundra Crewmax and a lifted 4Runner. Figure it out.

Even with my 1st house that was built in 2002 I was somehow able to squeeze an F-100 with a long bed in there. Cars > "stuff" you probably won't use

So I should get rid of my truck that I need on a daily basis for hauling? Our home was not built with a garage to fit modern trucks. If I could I would, but that is not an option.

Neighborhoods would be so much nicer if everyone would park in their garage or at a minimum in their driveway. In the driveway at a minimum
