Wow. That's rough. Hope everybody's ok.

We caught the far west end of the storm. Marble size was the largest here. Thankfully most of it was pea sized. Solid hail and then like a switch it turned to rain that pushed hail off the roof in sheets and carried it off the patio. Was over in 5 minutes here. Time to get my roof inspected.

We were over on Wellborn at my son's CSLL game and the siren went off for lightning. Figured it was precautionary. Took us 30 mins to get home after packing up and getting to the truck. Hail hit us a few minutes after I pulled into the garage.

Surprisingly no damage. Dime to quarter size.

I'll be in town tomorrow to check out rent houses around campus. If any of you need help with roof and insurance pm me. 40 years in the business and my roof Forman and crew lives in Bryan. Looks like there will be some mayhem for a few months.

Those photos don't look like roof wipe out hail tbh.

We live off Harvey Rd. I was surprised at how fast the storm came up. Lots of hail, but it was all pea/dime sized. Hailed for 30 minutes and then the rain came down pretty heavy and washed it all into the street.

Edit to say, I had the roof replaced a couple years ago after another hail storm. Don't think this one was as bad, but will have it checked out.

Nope, no damage to SUV. Roof of SUV has a panoramic sunroof. No cracks or chips.
House roof maybe. I'll call USAA and get in line tomorrow like everyone else.

No doubt the out of town roofing companies will flood the area like cockroaches.

South College Station by Castle Rock and minimal hail. Not nearly as bad.

Got me behind Walmart on 2818. Golf ball size, knocked a leak in my roof and beat my vehicles to hell

And checking damage I realized someone stole front license plate off the old ladies suv

Bummer, I really dislike hail, esp. after 4 roof replacements over the years.

New vehicles and roofing both harder to get right now. I was watching that super cell in the distance from Paige and it looked impressive from 2 counties away. I was thinking at least someone is getting rain...

Thread checks out, far too many cars are parked outdoors especially during hail season.

Mostly pea to marble sized hail in east Bryan where I live at. My truck stays in the driveway but it looks fine this morning, no cracks in any of the glass and no dents that I can see. Might crawl in the attic this afternoon after work and see if anything is glaringly wrong, but hoping we got lucky and missed out on anything major.

We were just barely south of the main cell in Gatesville once it started getting built up, we got a little bit of rain and some pea sized hail. Just north of us had some golf ball sized hail.

Odd occurrence I don't recall ever seeing in regards to hail. The storm had already passed, the rain had stopped and the sun was starting to break out from the clouds whenever it started hailing at my house.

I just finished some of my last reroofs for Ags in BCS earlier this year from the 2020 hail storm. Most of them were impact resistant, but My buddy sent some nasty hail from his house. The season is getting off to an early start with San Marcos, Canyon Lake and Austin damage. Looks like I'll be back in BCS as well.

This was the states first Five Star Hail Map from my hail software mapping service for the season due to the severity and properties impacted.

Bought a new travel trailer last week and got a call from RV Station to go ahead a file a claim. Hasn't even left the lot yet. Sounds like they got hit hard. So much for using it this weekend.

Our roof is fine, and cars only have a few small dings here and there. Only big dings are on the trim around the windows and above the doors. Debating claiming the insurance on both vehicles.

We've already inspected about 40 houses in BCS along with most of our past customers. The hail gradient is quite extreme from pea size to gorilla size. I've seen this before where one house has holes and two house down has extreme damage and then two more houses down has nothing. It's pretty wild. Mother Nature is scary.

Campus looked like every other left in the whole place was on the ground. All green and knocked off the day before. They had baseball size in a few spots I was told by folks at the former student center.

We just replaced our roof and my parents next door in January finally from the storm last May.

Inspector came this morning. After 10-15 minutes up there I came outside. He said "you won't believe this but I can find any hail damage on the shingles". I'm thinking there's no way. We had golf ball sized hail. Table in the back was all marked up that didn't have any damage from last years storm. Vehicles have a multitude of dents, some pretty decent. The font of my box trailer that faces north is all marked up.

I got up there and walked the roof with him. Ridge vents are busted, metal vents over the vent hood and other areas are smashed to crap. Satellite dish receiver plastic is busted. But sure enough, no real visible damage to the shingles.

I'll likely have someone inspect again in a month or two to make sure but maybe the 3 month old shingles absorbed the strikes with no issues. We shall see. It certainly wasn't what I expected.

An adjuster not finding damage on a roof...I'd get a second opinion but get one from a legit roofer that isn't just trying to sell you a roof.

If your adjuster was independent, then you are possibly ok. As long as you KNOW what you are looking for and you walked it to verify he had any clue about what he was doing...it's probably fine. New roofs are MUCH more forgiving to hail damage but they generally will not survive golf ball sized hail or larger if that is in fact what you had unless under trees, or it was slushy, or you have an IR shingle.

If you know it's ok, make sure insurance documents that there was absolutely no damage whatsoever and get the denial letter that says "no damage found".

If you get another hail storm, All those vents and accessories that are damaged (if they documented as such) won't be paid for next time unless you replace them and show it now. But if they are actually as you describe them you're going to want to have those taken care of anyhow.
