I was looking at a dual fuel Westinghouse 12000kw unit, nice thing is got a 50A plug which conveniently I installed in my garage before I sheathed the studs with plywood.

Issue, based on their published runtimes, id get 30 hrs from a100lb propane tank.

I'm now reconsidering how much I want/ need to power.

That was my dilemma... I would like to run my whole house but unless I'm running off natural gas there is no way I can have enough fuel on hand for more than a couple days.

With the dual Honda's I should be able to power most of the circuits in my house (sans central AC) and if one doesn't work at least I could still keep my fridges/freezers going. I should even have enough extra power to run a window or mini-split in the master bedroom.

Local butane/propane/racing field distributor will deliver a 55 gallon drum to your house here.
