I have personally had 1 run in with them years ago. I have friends who have property out there and it is not good at all.

I have posted this before, but it may have been on the first thread years ago that was taken down.
If you are from the area around Luling and Seguin, you know about the Silver Wolf Ranch. It is it's own little country, cult in my opinion. The leader has died but kids are probably running it now. That is where I think he ended up. It is shady AF. It is not far and he could have been easily picked up.
Wow. I drive right past this place on the way to deer camp. I always thought it was just an old diner that closed down and I had no idea of the back story. Talk about a rabbit hole.

I don't think anyone is there anymore, but who knows what is behind the big building.

from what I gather and have read this morning it seems the family still owns it and go there quite a bit. Members of the church work there and keep it up. Google maps is interesting. the compound is and the mansion in particular is huge. google maps also shows it has a cinder block fence around it along the public dirt roads so nobody can see inside.

I've also read the grandsons of the former leader who's now dead are Narcos.

I think this will be taken down soon. I believe this is what got the first thread deleted. They are still there. My friends brother's property is at the corner with the cinder block wall. A horrendous view and trashy. Bunch of trailers for people to live in. My run in was leaving this area at night, having to go all the way around the property only to be stopped by armed guys by the classic car entrance. They had a tractor trailer cross ways in the road, flashlights moving everywhere...there were no streetlights. I rolled my window down and he came to my truck and told me to turn around the road was closed. I saw he had an AR slung low to his side, but never really brandished it in a way to threaten but it was concerning. I told him I would not turn around and needed to go that direction because any other direction would add 30 minutes to my trip. He said he was sorry but there was no way through. I rolled up the window and pulled forward with him hollering at me and maybe the guys in front of me. There was room between the gate and the trailer that had ramps out the back, as they all tried to wave me away I pulled by them all and looked into the trailer which had cars in it. I just kept driving. Must have been 30 people at least. And all done in the middle of the night. Probably about 1 am. Why the AR's. Something else is going on.

Like I said before, these things have happened a long time ago, 20 plus years. One time they had a huge fire in one of the buildings. Fire dept came and they turned them away, would not let them in.

But always saying someday soon we will open to the public and its been 25 years...come on man...as sleepy joe would say!

I think I may have been to that property once. I think I went out there with a contractor to look at some work (probably irrigation related). That was probably 12 years ago. I don't remember much other than a story about 2 giraffes that got electrocuted because they walked into a low power line.

The giraffes dies in a big pit. They didn't have an enclosure so they dug a big pit that they could not walk out of. They died from malnutrition from what I was told.

Not saying you have not been there, but they don't let hardly anyone in. Any work gets done by their own. I used to know the area DA. They were invited out for dinner for what I think was a "see nothing is happening here" kind of thing.

I think there may have been a lion also that lived in a pit.

This same situation happened at the Ox Ranch in Brackettville too. My mom sold Brent Oxley the material to build his giraffe barn. After they released them out of the barn the giraffes walked right into the power lines outside the barn and got smoked.

I remember when Silver Wolf was called Buffalo Roam and it was like a drive thru wildlife park, had no idea it was some crazy cult compound. Can definitely this kid maybe getting lost and ending up on the property or at least driving by and seeing something they didn't want him to see and taking him out.

You must be thinking of somewhere else. It has never been a drive through ranch.

So I was in Seguin this weekend, I had a nice sitdown with a friend that went on the property. And he absolutely said they were invited so that they could see "there was nothing going on there" . The talk has slowed down on the place. And I think someone said on this thread that one of the grandchildren is in prison for running drugs and whatnot...that is true. But they can get things to and from Guadalajara, would not surprise me if the SWT student is in Mexico.

Yes it was, it was called Buffalo Roam, that's why there is a big statue of the bison out front. They had billboards all over I10, kind of like Buccees has now. The owners sold it to the church/cartel/whatever they are. If you click the link a couple posts above, it has an article that references this.

I had forgotten about this case. We have land near Luling and remembered reading about this and talking to local family when it happened. IIRC, they mentioned there are pretty bad hispanic/mexican gangs in the area and it wouldn't surprise my family if said gangs got Jason.

I watched the KHOU interview with his father, the snapchat part sounds suspicious. Drug deal?

As far as the hog theory, totally plausible. My brother wounded a deer at our place and two days later he found only a leg bone.

The Savage's owned it before, and if you were allowed on that place it was because you paid for a hunt. Since the church bought it and put up the bison statue no one has driven through it except for their own and a handfull of outsiders.

Don't know what else to tell you, this is from the Seguin Gazette article:

"The ranch, now enclosing approximately 500 acres, was purchased in about 1998 from Eldon and Judy Savage who operated a drive-through wildlife park on the property."

They had signs all over the place. The logo was a carton bison driving a car.

I don't ever remember being able to go in there before or after. Or the signs even. Have to ask some other folks if they ever went in. I didn't see your article but I believe you. What was it like in there when you went?

Having grown up there, kind of knowing the Savage family, and knowing the neighbors I think I would remember if you could drive through. Mr. Savage and his wife "maybe just the wife" had a rehab for exotic animals out there, but as far as everyone I have asked who still lives there and would know, it has never and probably will never let anyone in. But if you have been in there, "of your own choice and not taken lol" you are one of the very few.

It closed probably 30 years ago, and it may have been private in the time between closing and being sold to the Silver Wolf group, but if you drove I-10 in the late 80s-early 90s you saw their billboards.
John Cocktolstoy
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah, I looked it up and asked a few folks. It was a sanctuary, not open to the public. I don't even remember the signs but that doesn't mean they were not there. I probably was so used to them I didn't see em anymore. Did you go in?
