What oil do people recommend to use after parkerizing to give it corrosion protection? I see folks recommending REM Oil, but all I could find is the rem oil aerosol at the local stores around me.

So what are y'all's oil of choice to help seal the parkerization?

Spray aerosol Rem Oil onto a clean paper towel then apply? That's how I clean my exteriors.

Do this. Parkerizing aint weatherproofing like a dipped gun, but its more rust resistant than blueing. But it'll rust just the same as a blued gun given the chance. Just wipe it down with Rem oil or some other light oil (sewing machine oil) every time and your good to go. My uncle gave me a quart of transformer oil he got at the elec co-op one time. Good for water resistance, bad for you. I disposed of it several years ago.

Former Marine here and the answer is G96 Synthetic CLP Gun Oil. Previous poster also knows it's legit. I also like M-Pro 7 LPX as well

After I slow rust blue or parkerize a gun I dip the parts in a vat of Kerosene or heavily coat in used motor oil for 24hrs.

Did you use a Maganese or Zinc phosphate?
