I'm just kidding. In all honesty, I just like the feel and look of a square toe. I've never really liked the fit of round toes or the look. As with practically everything else in the world, it's all personal preference.ocling said:

I have never liked the look of square toes, but get the pair that look and feel the best to you and don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

Unless you have a wide foot like mine (5E), it probably doesn't matter. Square toe seems to fit my wide feet better, but that may all be in my head. I don't like my toes to be cramped.
Just don't get the huge curly toe Mexican boots

I like square toe because the feel better on my foot. I also have grown to like the look more than round or pointed/snip toe boots.

I prefer square toe because I have wide feet, but you can get round toe boots that have a wider toe box for you, albeit those boots will more than likely be custom. I have heard that people who work on the railroad are not allowed to have square toe because the edge can be wedged into a gap easier and can be a safety issue.
