Ate some for the first time this weekend.

GD it was good.

I always took "ribeye in the sky" with a grain of salt, but really tasted like a good steak.

Unless you put white rhino bacon on it, I hate to tell you that you ruined it.

Share your recipe for this nird. I've got some in the freezer just never knew what to do with it.

Well, clearly you have to beat it.

Woulda been winter wheat if we could get some rain. Between the drought and the damn cranes, I'll be lucky if any of it makes at this point.

There's also a small dirt tank down there. Most of the playas are dry around here, so it's some of the only water around.

Sandhills are primarily vegetation eaters, so seeds, sprouts, etc.

They are hell on any winter planted row crops.

I saved about a dozen a few weeks ago, and will be cooking them this weekend. The guides looked at me funny when I told them I wanted to save the hearts, gizzards, and livers. I think I'm the only client they've had make that request!

Hearts have been real popular since Rinella cooked them on his show a few years ago. I personally have kept a few but never knowingly* eaten them.

*Ironically, a bag of crane breasts and hearts accidentally ended up in my deer grind last year.

Legs... Smoked and then braised overnight in the crockpot. The meat just falls right off the bone. There are lots of bones and tendons, like a turkey leg. This is destined for gumbo.

Get ahold of Scott clary with coastal prairie outdoors and tell him Kylie from craigs group sent you, as if there are more kylies out there.

Chris Slemp at Pin Oak Farms might have some openings. Shot a 10 man with him a few weeks ago
