Agreed. I would hope there is more substantial evidence that would point to a death by attack rather than died and then scavenged...making that post without decent evidence would be careless.
I'm from Hood county so I'll see what I hear through the rumor mill.

Don't know a definitive answer as to what, but from a wildlife angle nothing is consistent with mountain lion.
Hood County most certainly isn't dealing with a bunch of murders on the reg.Schu in Mizzou said:ursusguy said:

That leaves only a chupacabra, man-bear-pig, or Kamala Harris as suspects.
But seriously, why is it so difficult to determine the culprit? You'd think they'd find some animal hair or something on him to help figure it out. Forensics is pretty damn advanced these days, from what my wife tells me, from her murder shows on ID Channel.

It wasn't a Tiger. I read this book a couple of years back:
https://www.amazon.com/Tiger-Vengeance-Survival-Vintage-Departures/dp/0307389049
True story of Russian para-military group that protects endangered Tigers in Sibera. Very good read btw.
The Tiger on human kills were described as if the victim had exploded. Blood everywhere and very little actual human remains. Only shreds of clothing and maybe a finger or some such. Definitely not enough to ID a body or have a proper funeral.
