Doing some kayak fishing on sheldon lake and the lake has lots of pads and underwater weeds. What's everyone's favorite go tos for this? I have always favored watermelon lizards but could use some expanded options. Plan on swinging by bass pro to pick up whatever i can.

Depends on the forage in your lake. Be hard to go wrong with natural/shad/pumpkin colors.

Ive caught a lot of fish over 7# (and a gator) at Sheldon on white, yellow, and black hollow body frogs. When its windy I have better luck with buzzbaits. Bait that has workded best, is jerking a weightless fluke...usually a watermelon variety color.

Zoom Super Fluke. Natural color in clear water. Maybe some chartreuse and white in stained water.
