Any solid recommendations for early October?

What type of fish you chasing? We just got back and had a good time.

We are open whether it's trout or bass fishing which seem to be the most prominent options.

If fishing for bass I would highly recommend Mike Newman. He took us out and we had a great time.

Trout I can't help you with but Bryce Archey who is a guide at one of the lodges could point you in the right direction.

Rob Woodruff (Ag and poster on this forum) and his wife Jenny may be back in the area.

They guided there for years before running a few lodges one in Caribbean and one in Montana.

Jenny and I are no longer guiding at Broken Bow. Heavy crowds, litter, lack of enforcement of regulations and the OK Dept. of Wildlife allowing bait fishing on the entire river have made it impossible for us to offer a fly fishing experience we can be proud of.

We will be guiding fly fishing trips in East Texas starting in January.
