Excellent deer and shot. Can I ask what broadhead you are using? Also, how far did he run before dropping?

My current go-to but I'm always looking for recommendations.

Big fan of the Rage Xtremes!! Shooting a 510 grain arrow so have plenty of energy to blow through these Texas whitetail and did several times last year. One broke through both front legs of a 6 1/2 yr old buck and he didn't run 30 yards. As long as you've got the energy these are badasss

Any issues with broken blades? I was checking them out but wish they were a little more sturdy. Currently shooting NAP FOC but was considering swapping to these. I was breaking blades on the grim reapers and NAP XXX.

I haven't yet but sample size is small so far. Only shot a handful of deer with them last year and they did fine, but with blades that long I don't expect them to be the toughest in the world. The trypans have thicker blades if thats a concern

Where was this? Didn't know any deer hunting had started. Our MLD starts next Saturday. Can't wait. Congrats on the meat!
