Played with one of these lately and liked the idea of a 1-8x scope with an offset reflex since I am right handed and left eye dominant. Anyone know of any good setups?

Why does your eye and hand dominance make you want an offset dot?

Jprifles has one. Probably the most solid. Three gunners put offset dot mounts to the test throwing gun around. You'll need a Picatinny mount for your red dot.

American defense. Has one. Use with rmr. Solid one piece.

Arisaka makes one. Can be adjusted to 33 degree cant or 45 to clear the knobs in scope. Multiple pieces

If you mount behind scope. Closer to your eye. You may lose the ability to 1x your variable optic Rmr gets in the way.

Trijicon sells rmr scope mount. Mounts on your scope.

Won't work like you want it to. For best result rmr has to be over barrel when you cant the rifle.

If you are shooting right and have it offset to the left side. Your rmr will not be above barrel meaning that your point of aim point of impact will cross left and right further down range not above below.

I prefer to shoot with both eyes open and it is much more difficult to do that with a standard scope and even a red dot. Reflex sights make it much easier for me to shoot with both eyes open. A setup with a scope and reflex sight makes me never have to change optics

I'm right handed, left eye dominant and shoot everything both eyes open. No issues at any magnification.

I'm not try to be "look at me/cool guy," just trying to understand the problem. Is it an eye relief problem or something like that?

No just with practice at close range I am much quicker with a reflex sight than I am with a red dot or scope. Doing drills I am always faster with the reflex and so I do not have to change sights. Scope for hunting or work that requires magnification and reflex for short distance stuff.

Just one of those I have tried several things and finally figured out what works for me.

So you want the offset red dot on the left side of the gun or right side of the gun?

Confused.

I've only tried it on the right side

Do you shoot left or right handed?

With a rifle I prefer right handed

Excellent. Badger ordinance makes offset mounts. So does...
