Just as an FYI for those looking the academy in Katy has both the 3.1" sig p365 and the XL in stock. They are both the academy exclusive which has a grey frame but it looks good. The XL model also has the thumb safety and the red dot cut slide. Needless to say at $499 for the small on I picked it up it's super small but should fill the sub compact need perfectly.



Not much larger than a saddleback medium billfold.

You can order that online and select the Katy store for pickup. I was able to do so with an Austin store last week and got the 365 with grey grip for $529.

If you don't mind the stainless slide, Bass Pro has one for $448, without the safety.

Picked one up at the woodlands academy a couple weeks ago. May have also picked up a Glock 43 since they had it.

I need to get out and shoot them now that I got ammo in.

I will also mention I have some extra 9mm in the woodlands area for $0.50/ round (my cost) if anyone needs some.

I was at Academy in Pasadena yesterday and saw an XL with the thumb safety. I gave it 4 hours shelf life at most until someone bought it.

They also had plenty of Sig357 ammo and some .357MAG on the shelf, too.

PSA has had a lot of them the past month, $499 plus shipping for the standard, $599 for the tac pac that has (3) 12 round magazines plus a holster. Picked up a second for the wife, just kidding for me.

OP thats good bull and a GREAT price right now. I was at cabellas last week and standard striker fires were selling b/w $600-$950. The market is insane right now. Apparently S&W just fired up their production line again.

I think the $529 model is the newer one with the safety. Every one I have seen for $499, is the older one with no safety.

Interesting. They must be pricing slightly different per location. Mine also had the safety.

Nevermind. Just tried this and I couldn't find one in stock for that price.

Looked at/held one tonight. Mag release is way too small/low profile. I've got really long fingers, and I was having a hard time dropping the magazine.

My local Academy didn't have the P365 in stock, but I did manage to pick up a P320 compact this afternoon.

Funny thing is they held my ID for the 15 or so minutes it took to do all the paperwork and background check, but they never once made me take off my mask.

Yeah this is kinda where I am. I rented one. I shot it well but for my hands and short sausage fingers the controls just don't feel great to me.
