i'm still trying to decide what kind of trip i want to take for my 30th birthday next year and have been researching trips to africa, alaska and i'm going to throw patagonia in the mix now. I remember last year that there was a poster that was either selling hunts or helped guide hunts in patagonia. any info would be appreciated


Right now just looking for info on outfitters and pricing. Looking to maximize game chances, specifically red stag, fallow deer and Pere Davids Deer. any other species would be a bonus

Saw a TV show a couple weeks ago on a lodge in eastern Argentina that had quail, trout, and I think red deer? It looked so awesome. Will try and find it.

I was looking at a Patagonia cruise this fall... Then Covid, then I lost my job... Maybe in 2021...

The hunts that were advertised here earlier this year looked amazing!

Those previously posted hunts got cancelled this year due to covid and are postponed until next year, (as of now.) Argentina closed their borders to U.S flights just before my trip was supposed to happen so I am hoping they will open them before I am supposed to go again next year.

I am glad you posted this because I am looking at buying a hunt in Crdoba (auction) but am a little concerned over the travel and potential for shutdown, for next Spring/Summer when the hunt occurs. Do you think it will be back open by then and are you planning to go?

Honestly that's incredibly hard to predict. I do think we will see another coronavirus surge during cold/flu season, but how long it takes to get that one under control, and when other countries get hard-up for U.S. tourism money will have a lot to do with whether or not borders open up to our country again.

I did a free range stag hunt in Patagonia last year at Tipiliuke Lodge. Also got in a few days of fly fishing. It was definitely one of my favorite trips I've ever taken. I will be going back in the near future.

That's the one from the TV show. So jealous. It's looks amazing.

I think I saw the same episode and I had the same guide as the show. Everything about the trip, from the food and lodge, to the animals and especially the scenery was fantastic. It was my first time fly fishing and was able to catch almost 30 trout in the two afternoons I decided to not hunt.

Completely understood and perhaps I should have phrased my question better.

Are you planning to go next year, as of right now?

As of right now I plan to go. Hell I plan to go as long as there is a way to get there legally. I just have some doubt that there will be a way to get there by next April.

My wife and I also did Tipiliuke. One of my favorite trips. Great location, lodge, meals. Quail hunting in the morning, stag hunting in the afternoon. A few fishing expeditions. Great times.

I was looking into these with my coworker who's based in Argentina as well.

I seem to recall reading that there is almost no way to get the meat back to the states though, is that correct?

That's what the outfitter told us as well.

i assume its like africa. the meat is donated or used by the outfitter and youre not allowed to take it back with you
