Okay, thanks for the suggestions.

I messed with it last night, including trying the old SIM card, and changing carriers from ATT to SIM HERO and back. It just sort of magically started working, with the original settings (sim Hero card and ATT as carrier).

I'm going to guess the SIM card was not seated well, and cycling it in and out, it finally made a good connection. Just got my daily test pic in a text.

The only oddball thing is that the screen shows "3G" when I know I have a good 4G signal, and a 4G camera.

Oh well, I'm getting electricity to the barn in a few days, and fiber optic Internet sometime later. So maybe I'll add a web cam.
