I got a call from my brother last night - our 91 year old mom who's in a nursing home in New Braunfels, has tested positive for the virus. As it's locked down, he doesn't know much more regarding symptoms, if any.

Please pray for comfort and peace as she fights this disease.

We have two former neighbors who were both positive for covid and had very mild cases. 90+ yo

Try not to worry too much.

I have an 89 year family member in a nursing home in Austin that tested positive a month ago. Never had a single symptom and has is now "recovered".

Thoughts and Prayers to all.

My mom (95) is in Alzheimers care in Katy. They have been on lock down since all of this first started. We have been visiting her through the window for months. Well, someone in there tested positive the other day, so it had to come in from staff.

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement. I doubt any of you know her, but you may indirectly. Her name is Patty Johnson. If you've ever purchased fresh herbs at HEB, you may be familiar with Patty's Herbs. She founded the company in Pearsall in 1981. I took it over in 1984 and ran it until we sold it in 2015 when we left for Zambia.

Look up Dr. Richard Barlett interview on 7/2/20.

He has had some very good success using same stuff (extremely long words) that other countries have been using with great success.

It is a nebulizer. Sorry if i misspelled it.

Americacanwetalk.org and the interview is about 31 minutes long. Very interesting stuff. Im not saying to use it or not use it as im not a doctor but at least it is another doctors opinion to listen to for possible options

Prayers sent, but I only know personally of one COVID case in my town. It was the 90+ mother of a friend. Zero COVID symptoms, though she had a UTI at the same time that affected her much more.

Prayers sent and will again. My neighbors mom is 92. She tested positive three weeks ago. Her symptoms were like a bad sinus infection. She is ok now. She has rheumatoid arthritis and dementia, but she made it....your mom will too!

Gary (my brother) called with an update on our mom. He said it's been hard to get information as the nursing home is locked down and of course they're pretty busy.

He did talk to a nurse who said she had a mild cough. They had her on some O2 and her level is 96%. The nurse let him FaceTime with her but she is pretty deaf and didn't really respond.

Thanks for the prayers - keep them coming please.

Great feedback. I'd known the guys we sold the company to for over 10 years and felt confident they'd be able to carry the torch going forward. You don't do business with HEB for 36+ years if you don't keep your eye on the ball.

And thanks for the prayers. We're really hopeful but know things can turn on a dime with this disease.

My brother called with some good news about my mom just now. He received a call from the nursing home and was told our mom is doing better and has been moved from isolation back to her room. Apparently they knew when she had been exposed and fourteen days had passed.
