Fished there Friday morning on a hunch. Saw plenty of bait, but, couldn't get anything to take an interest. Went South to Emmords and whacked em. Day before on Thurs afternoon we had tried Pure Oil and Emmords with no luck. Guess we should have run North in the PM and South in the AM.

Caught them good in emmords yesterday afternoon. Not a lot of little fish either. 17"-25". No reds. Two of us pulled 10 trout out of there in two hours screwing around and drinking beer. That water is still stained. Hard to see much. Hoping it clears up pretty quick.

Go to Marker 93, left to the island. Line yourself 200 yards off the shore where the sand dune(only one around) is located and drift that entire flat. Good 10am-2pm spot for some reason. 27.403248, -97.348088

I have not had the best luck at Emmords, but I know there are fish there. West side of nighthawk has been great for me lately along with Kates and Dead Mans. IF you ever see a sea foam green Mowdy with a t top, say howdy.

Lol. I would starve to death if I could only fish nighthawk. I stink it up in there. It just doesn't click for me. I'll look for your boat. I'm in a red illusion.

I'm a port a transplant to the island. Been here a year and still learning. I do pretty good on trout but have to go back to port a go catch redfish.

Baw....you're over the limit on trout in both pics.

Thanks for the coordinates. Fished there quite a bit March - early May, but, hadn't had much luck the last couple of times I tried. If you saw a maroon JH or a seafoam Sabre Cat, that was me.

Work ended the stay at home this week so it looks like mostly weekend fishing from here on out this summer. Will definitely keep an eye out for you. Always good to meet OB folks

I had buddies with me.....I dont wade alone for safety reasons.

The reds havent turned on for us yet. The ones we did catch were random, not schoolies. Hoping we can find some for Dad this weekend for a Fathers Day weekend on the water.

I didn't realize you were in the Corpus area.

I haven't gotten to wade since April where we limited on a lot of healthy trout in baffin. Otherwise I've had my 4 y/o daughter with me and we'll go throw shrimp close by around PITA/Bluffs and we'll pick up a few fish but nothing great but her attention span is about 20minutes haha.

This time of year I've done well in emmords finding drop offs and color changes with popping cork and shrimp.

When you say west side of nighthawk are you fishing on the east side of ICW by the islands? Or the flats to the west of the ICW?

Sorry for the crude marks, but, we've been pulling fish from these areas. Just look for where you see bait. Not sure how much longer it will produce as the water warms. May already be dead

Ohhhh i see what you mean. I mis-read. I thought you meant west of nighthawk, but duh you mean the west side of nighthawk.

Thats where I go too. Look for the turqouise and blue houses and fish between them. There is also a permanent duck blind and that is as far north as you need to go. Fish those shorelines about 150-200 feet away, should be waist deep water.

Went back to emmords today. Need fish for a fry.

No dice. 3 trout (decent fish. Not big ) two big reds.
We Worked our way home and never another bite.

So..I don't have any good ideas for the weekend.

We only fished the afternoon. Might be better in the am. No idea.
