You would expect a dealership to release the vehicle without certified funds? That is insane and just bad business.
I looked at buying a car twice from that dealership and it was an absolute ****show both times. Both times I ended up buying elsewhere. Seems like a very poorly managed dealership. Won't ever go there again.Gator03 said:

He talked to a lawyer and applied some pressure as recommended by posters above and got a firm date from dealership and got his check on that date. Situation didn't have to be escalated beyond that.
It was Toyota dealership in Katy. Apparently they were just timing it with their monthly close process. Still, not a situation he will ever get into in the future. He was an idiot but fortunately got away with it this time.
