Drop stars? Your money but the site has absolutely the best recruiting info if that interests you like me. Leave the site? Please.
It's annoying new feature and they will fix it. They are pretty good at responding to clients especially on the tech issue.
FYI when I was a mod five years ago flagging did not register who did it. They may have to start tracking posters on that so they can deal with problem makers.
Honestly, I find myself less and less interested in the recruiting stuff as the kids have become more and more narcissistic about primping on social media. When Varsity was a thriving community to itself, it was definitely worth the price. Now it is a shell of what it was, and I don't find it worth paying for anymore. Most of what I come to Texags for these days and where I post the most is on the outdoors board. If we are going to have to fight through moderation just to post and talk about guns, I am not going to pay to keep doing that. Lots of other places to talk about the outdoors that don't have that nonsense going on.
When it comes to moderation and what they can and can't do, Texags is going to have to face the facts that it is time for professional moderation if they want to become the paradise free of racism and all other isms that it seems Billy and Brandon have committed to. That level of moderation means transparency and accountability for moderation that they have shied away from in the past. They are going to have to ruthlessly rid the place of the trolls who exist purely to create drama, and they are going to have to explain who they are banning, which threads they are deleting, and why. I have no belief that Brandon and Billy are willing to commit to that level of action on moderation. I think it will be just as hidden and mystifying as always and there will be different standards for different boards and poster groups, with no explanation for why the differences are there.
