I purchased this from a C&R dealer online, from his personal collection. He originally imported about 30,000 Russian captured K98k's when the USSR collapsed, and out of those, 120 were SS rifles. This was the second to last SS rifle he had left.

How have you enjoyed that PARD NV008? Had one mounted on a Grendel, but the setup took more time and concentration that I had available to me the last I tried to sight it in...

Well I haven't hunted with it yet. I just got it a few weeks ago so I've only had a chance to zero it in and plink around with it.

But so far so good! I will say it took me awhile and a couple YouTube videos to learn how to zero it in. Once I figured it out I had it dialed in with 3 or 4 shots.

The instruction booklet on these things is wretched. Setup was easy but again I just figured it out on my own because the manual is worthless.

Mine is .32 ACP.

There were a few 9mm prototypes, but most VZs you find in the states will be .32, .380 or 9x18 Mak.

The dead giveaway is the magazines: .32 ACP mags are curved, .380 and 9x18 mak are straight.

I love that gun. It's a great example of not losing sight of your purpose when designing/engineering something. Every gripe I have about it is directly connected to the intent of the gun. The stock LOP is super crazy short, but that's because that is what fit the gun. The charging handles are insanely minimalistic, but low profile/small is the entire point of it.

It has an surprisingly great trigger, and runs 100% as long as you're shooting Euro loaded .32 like S&B.

I'm working on piecing together a similar/worthy "modern" successor to the concept, but it's an absolutely great gun.

For those who have never been around one, heres a size comparison between a USP Expert and a VZ 61.

It is tiny for something with a stock.
