Anything the 300 offers over a 45 ACP, out of either a Kriss or banshee, other than I already have a 30 cal can?

Do you plan on only shooting subsonic 300blk? If so it gets a little more interesting, but if you want the option to shoot supers id go 300blk all the way.

Edit: The supers have a good bit more energy than the 45ACP

Don't do a 300blk banshee. 300blk are so easy to build at good prices. However, pistol caliber carbines are more difficult and I think that's where the banshee shines. I built an awesome 300blk for about a grand and purchased a 9mm banshee. I shoot the 9mm more due to ammo cost. I plan on doing either a 45 or 10mm banshee next. Awesome solid platform. 300blk is just not worth that price point in my opinion, but it is your money.

Edit to add two things: I run both suppressed. And I have zero experience with the kriss

300 supers have the speed to create hydrostatic shock. .45 does not

Possibly accuracy. Probably more quiet for the size of can required but not necessarily true. The 45 will generally be more lethal, especially with a quality bullet. Ammo cost obviously heavily favors the 45.

If you run supers they will be a good bit more lethal than a 45ACP. As Aggie1819 mentioned the hydrostatic shock is an important factor in addition to the energy ~1400ft/pounds for 300blk supers vs ~500ft/pounds for 45.

I withdraw my advice... Poor reading comprehension on my part. Subsonic id go 45ACP due to the softer bullets better designed hollow points, unless you don't want to buy another suppressor.

Ill retreat into my hole on this thread...

better ballistic coefficient--could translate to longer range depending on your set up.

At least you didn't go completely off the rails like I did on a different topic.

On this topic, I really like the Hornady subsonic x rounds for pigs. Especially the 300blk. I have not tried the 45 equivalent though.

I'm going to look into these.... They look like a good option for my 300Blk or 308 (sub) loads.

Granted, some calibers work better than others, but Any round that results in a dead pig is a good choice.
