On lake Palestine, you own the property down to the 355' line. So you own the property your house is on but not a boathouse. Permanent habitations are not allowed on land that is below 355 feet around the lake, as these lands actually belong to the UNMWA, and the waterfront taxes paid to the Authority are actually rentals for that property below 355 feet.

Another rec for lake cherokee. My cousins have a place there and I grew up going. One of them is now a realtor out of Longview and I've seen him advertise a number of lots on social media in the last year.
