Poison? Ground is covered with it where I did some clearing this winter.
You're very welcome...live in the city but have a creek in the backyard and just walked along a bunch of new growth like that earlier this afternoon.RGRAg1/75 said:
That's what I thought after comparing to google images. Wanted to consult the experts here, though! Thx!
I just hit it with Roundup formulated for Poison Ivy and it's done an excellent job of taking it out; but it will take out other foliage as well, so just try to hit the PI leaves and it will take it out!RGRAg1/75 said:
I was the same way, which is why I never cared to learn exactly what it looked like in my younger years. Poison sumac, on the other hand, I know exactly what that devil plant looks like after a few years in GA.
Best way to kill it without harming other foliage? It's hard to target, specifically, right?

Really needs to have some triclopyr in whatever is used for vines.Brazos1865 said:
Any product containing 2,4-D, or another broadleaf weed killer, should be effective and is selective, unlike Roundup . Just make sure to apply it per the product label.

A word of warning, do not burn Poison Ivy. The oils in the plant will waft into the air. If one inhales them, or they enter your body via the eyes, it gets in your blood stream and will cause the worst misery you can imagine. I'm saying this from personal experience.
