I purchased a .22 can towards the end of April last year.

I just received a text that the stamp came in so dang near a year wait....

Congrats on the stamp! Next one, build a can via Form 1. Your wait time will be 2-4 weeks. If you need to buy a drill press your coat will be about the same for one can. If you've already got one, it'll be cheaper.

Im kinda toying with this idea of trying out one of the JK Armament rifle set ups. They sell the jig for you to use when drilling and i like that i can utilize a ASR mount so i can screw it on any of my guns with ASR brakes.

What kind of host do you have set up for your Wolfman? I'm thinking about building a clone or buying one or both. Also, how many days from filing/check cashing until stamp in hand?

Mainly my CMMG Banshee. The radial delayed blowback make it a great host.

I would do one of these (titanium instead of aluminum, and also, in stock):

https://diversifiedmachine.us/product/premium-tuned-kit-9/
(everything is ready to go, you just need a stamp and to drill out the baffles)

https://superprecisionconcepts.com/products/kits
(You'll need to come up with a design for and cut your own spacers in addition to drilling the baffles)

For a jig, contact this user on this forum and he can hook you up with a jig for ~$50 and baffle clipping tools for $3

I haven't videoed yet.... got the Wolfman it back right before the quarantine. Hopefully I can shoot again this week. I'll video this time.

Would I rather have an MP5 or B&T APC9? Yeah, but the Banshee is half the price of the other 2

I disagree. I'd way rather have a titanium can that I made myself versus a steel (heavier) or aluminum (less durable) can. As an example, my Form 1 .22 can is lighter and more quiet than my Dead Air Mask (similar dimensions, the Mask is all steel so it's heavier), so the Form 1 can is a lot more fun to shoot.

How have you metered your form 1 can to get decibel numbers to compare to the dead air?

Also, one can buy a titanium can (TBAC). That isn't a form 1 only thing:

Meh, I'm mostly just curious. From what I've seen on the web, it takes some fairly sophisticated (expensive) equipment to properly meter a supressor. Ex- you can't just download a noise level app on the iPhone.

So naturally, I'm interested in how Pear is metering his cans to come up with the statement that his Form 1 can outperforms a professional made form 4 can.
Mr. Dubi
How long do you want to ignore this user?
In the real world, there isn't that great a difference between like cans.

Get what you want and can afford. The host and ammo, as well as ambient temperature and humidity make significant differences.

As far as I care Huntertown Arms (rip) made the best rimfire canbecause that's what I own.

That's cool. My form 1 can with roughly those specs cost half of that, doesn't use their proprietary muzzle brake that costs double what my GA brake cost, and I got my stamp in 15 days versus 365, but to each their own.

I don't care what a decibel meter says, I care how it sounds to my ear. And there are more factors than just decibel reduction that factor in to the overall sound equation, despite what the marketing guys will tell you. FRP and tone are arguably more important. Your ear can't tell the difference in 32 dbl reduction and 34. But you can absolutely tell the difference in tone. And silencer companies aren't going to advertise that their cans have horrible FRP or POI shift. With a form 1 can, you have the ability to tailor your can to your use. And you can absolutely tell the difference in sound by not having a can at all for a year.

Ok RPR. Ok. Imma just let you have this thread back, Bc I'm simply not willing to debate a guy who says that decibel reduction from a DECIBLE REDUCTION DEVICE is of secondary importance.

You keep your shade tree suppressors with good tone.

I'm trying to understand your thinking. But your argument is basically "all restaurant food is better than home cooked meals" and that's just silly.

SiCo Spectre 22 stamp came in last month. It was a 21 month wait....I've got a Dead Air Sandman S in jail now. I'm not hopeful I'll see it anytime soon. ATF is ass, my dude.

When did you buy it?. There is a window from September on where stamps went to a new ATF facility. Those are running 3-6 months.

You're such an insufferable *****. The other suppressor thread you bashed SiCo for saying their warranty doesn't include hand loads, until it was shown that TBAC has the same language. But, but, but...!

Also, that post was from 2011. Lol. Things have changed since then. They now publish db data. And a lot of it.

The dead air was this past Nov, so it hasn't been long. But, like I said, it took my other .22 can 21 months, so I have little faith this one will be in my possession any time soon.

Nah bro. Red Pear said, in his own words, that his Form 1 build-a-lego-can was quieter. I wanted to know how he could substantiate that. He couldn't. He's basing it off "tone". So he's FOS on quieter. But hey, keep up the PFG bashing. It makes you look smart.

My Check was cashed October 4th and I got my suppressor March 8th. Could be close.

My dads was cashed October 21st and he got his in February.
