Lol Fair enough. TBH now that it's all said and done I am glad I did it and feel all good about myself like the good little millennial I am. So, you're not totally off base.

But I legit was wondering if there was a reason I shouldn't have done that and I knew the good people of the OB would know.

This is more accurate. On one side of my brain it's "of course you should turn the water off, why are you even asking" and the other it's "they're going to lawyer up if something goes wrong. It's none of your business just keep walking"
