Have any of you purchased a vizsla from Ray at http://www.coopersredneckkennel.com/?

This will be our third one, bought first two from creekside kennel and they were great.

Ours are family pets, do not hunt them, just looking for healthy pups from reputable breeder.

Wanted to learn more about coopers, thanks for your help!

OP, how much is he asking for his puppies? We are looking at Vizslas as well from a different breeder.

Yes. My Vizsla Zipp we purchased from Ray in April of last year. We had her for about 7 months before we sent her to Anderson Ranch Gun dogs for bird school. Anderson said she was the best Vizsla they've ever had as far as hunting instincts, trainability and nose.

Since we've had Zipp, Ray has called on me at least 10 times over the last year for updates on my dog. He's a conscientious breeder who loves his dogs.

Do I recommend Coopers?? No doubt. I'd buy another dog from him in a heartbeat.

If you go to the website huntdogmania, you'll see my dog at the top.

I'd go with Ray if you're looking for a hunting dog. His dogs are bred for upland hunting. If you're looking for a house dog, maybe you should go with someone else. My dog has energy to burn. Not sure if that is specific to Ray's dogs or just any old Vizsla. Ray can also provide you the genealogy for his dogs back 100 plus years.

We paid $1500. Our female is now just about full grown and will settle in at about 40 lbs.

Best damn breed in the world. Miss mine. Son is allergic so out of the dog game forever.

Wonderful family dog. She was a handful until she was 7 or 8.

We used to have to run/walk her 6 miles a day.

They are not a breed for the sedentary....

We used rose hill vizslas in Devine, TX for ours. Nice Aggie family and got an incredible dog.
