Sorry for the dumb question, but will that jump starter have enough power for my Duramax? It seems like when looking at other models the amp ratings don't translate exactly to diesels.
They can jump up to an 8.0L engine. One guy recently wrote that he jump started a sky track fork lift.

Thanks. Here's the source of my confusion:

This one is apparently 1500 amps, but it differentiates between the size of gas and diesel engines.

NOCO Boost XL GB50 1500 Amp 12-Volt UltraSafe Portable Lithium Car Battery Jump Starter Pack For Up To 7-Liter Gasoline And 4-Liter Diesel Engines https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MVY7K43/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_j-dyEbBB21Y3C

The Interstate product does not, so I'm not sure how to compare the two.

I got an answer for you from Interstate. The 1000A model can jump up to a 8.0 liter gas engine and a 4.0 liter diesel engine. How big is the engine in your duramax? I stand corrected on an earlier statement about the 1500A and 2000A models. If you have more than a 4.0L diesel engine, you'll need the 2000A jump starter. The higher amperages on the 2000A models are designed to produce a small amount of current for glow plugs (and other offline equipment) to heat up prior to the surge that a jump starter gives when turning over the engine. Hope that helps...
By the way, we already updated the product page on Amazon because of your suggestion, so thanks!

Thanks for looking into that. I have a 6.6L engine, so yes, I would need the larger amperage.

What kind? We also have CR2's, just not on this deal. we also make the button cell CR2032 and CR2025, but I don't think those work in trail cams.

Glad we talked. Noco certainly is the biggest player and has a ton of different amperages. I would look there first.

I hear you. We're not selling those yet online, but we looked at them and Interstate sells them in their stores. Look for either an Interstate All Battery Center, or a Batteries and Bulbs, or there are lots on Amazon that we don't make.

My trailcams take 8 AA batteries each, but I only use lithium. I'd buy quite a few at a good price.

Does it have to be lithium? What about NiMH?

Sent this over to a product engineer, should hear back shortly.
Buy two of the Interstates. One for each battery. Still cheaper than the NOCO.

These are disposable lithium batteries were talking about, not rechargeable. They're good for trail cams because they're extremely shelf stable and they put out maximum voltage all the way to the end instead of gradually decreasing as the cell gets depleted which results in a battery that still has usable life but isn't powerful enough to run the equipment. Also, because they run at a higher voltage, you get more range out of the flash.

At least, that's what I read before I spent $1.25 per battery on a pile of them.
Interstate doesn't make those, assuming you are talking about 1.5V? Energizer has a patent on those and the only ones I can find are knock offs.

We have higher voltage lithium but because of the voltage they are not replacements for alkalines.

These are generally the recommended standard for trail cams: https://www.energizer.com/batteries/energizer-ultimate-lithium-batteries

Nominal voltage is listed as 1.5v, but they generally test 1.7 on my multimeter - and they keep pushing that until they are dead. I've tried lots of AA batteries, but the lithiums are the only batteries I've found that will hold a charge between my sporadic lease visits.

I learn something every day. It sounds like you are stuck with Energizer for the foreseeable future, at least for that type of battery.

OK, quick question on the marine batteries. We just started selling the DCM0035 on Amazon, which is a 12V 35ah deep cycle battery. Commonly used for trolling motors and a host of other applications, is that what you are looking for? Or are you looking for a flooded marine battery? Or both? Walk me through your battery setup, if you don't mind. It will help inform what I can put together for April.

Really looking for a 100ah marine battery. I like the smaller size of those 35ah for yaks or John boats but like to go big and strong for my bass boat. I run a 50lb thrust trolling motor motoguide on 24v setup. I currently have the interstate marine crank battery and it has served me well.

Golf cart batteries, outside of lithium, are flooded batteries. Right now, Amazon will not house a flooded battery in their warehouses. You can still buy these on Amazon from other brands, but they ship directly from the seller.
Interstate sells a ton of golf cart batteries through their distributors, dealers, and all battery centers.

Stay tuned with me as Interstate continues to develop their product line at Amazon.

Thanks T, and this applies to RCR06 as well. We are selling a 100ah deep cycle battery through Amazon. It the link right above. However, it is not an SLI battery (starting). True marine batteries with multiple post options that can start your boat and run your stuff are all flooded. Amazon will not warehouse a flooded battery, so we're not doing them at this time. However, we are looking at a true marine battery that is AGM, which we can put in a warehouse. Would you be interested in us setting up that type of battery? They are typically a little more expensive (20%) but are higher performance. Look forward to hearing back from you guys.
