that is interesting. My favorite plastic for salt is the TTF trout killer in pumpkin with white belly and chartreuse tail. Bought as many packs as I could when they were disappearing a couple years ago. Another good one was their trout killer II which was similiar but just had split tails and in purple with blue flakes and chartreuse tail was another great lure.
Within the last month was looking for more and tons of google search I found that H&H Lures out of louisiana is making trout killers that are identical. Emailed them and they texted me an hour later. Their website is okay and sometimes you have to use google to get to their right page. They did say they are working on site and doing a bunch of inventory work at their store/warehouse. They sell in SOME Academy stores. They have them at my local (Humble) location so I bought a bunch more. Haven't been able to try them out yet to see if as good as the old ones (great color and the baits held up really well especially compared to newer baits from other companies). Also waiting to see if they do the Trout Killer II baits

Now, looking at the ttflures.com site all I see is the killer flats minnow. They have my color in it even though I don't care for the lure really. It certainly is a new website. Going to ping them about the trout killers

This may seem crazy but do you mean Roy's Bait and Tackle on SPID in Corpus or a lure maker named Roy?

So I decide to submit an email via the new site ttflures.com last week. Got a really quick reply from a nice lady named Sonia. Here's what I learned...
the previous owners of TTF sold the rights to the Trout Killer model to H&H lures out of Louisiana. I had talked with H&H a few weeks ago. They've really ramped up production of the TK and you can find it in some Academy stores around town (Humble and Kirby locations had it while NASA did not).
Sonia confirmed that but also added that there are new owners of the TTF lures and hence the new site. For now they are getting the paddle tails going but in the near future plan to expand to the other lures that TTF used to make. Including the Trout Killer II

So keep checking the site or follow them on social media

I bought all those Reaction Strike lures from Roy's in Corpus. They had Reaction do at least three private pours. One was the Red Tide....another was Marker 37 and the third was something like Blue Runner....not sure of the last name. None of those every came out on Reactions website.

I found a few bags of Trout killer 2 in Victoria Academy last week. They had been rebaggwd I to an H&H bag which made sense as H&H bought their molds. When I originally called H&H they had just gotten the TTF stuff in. They said they may make more someday, so I am hopeful they will continue them!

Hogie makes that shrimp tail. I know Dusty well and can get the tails painted most any color. He uses worm paint vs. die so it doesn't run or stain your baits.
