I don't know the brand of 5.56 a buddy of mine bought it all. They still have a bunch of .40 some .380 and .357 sig. could just be my Walmart clearing the shelves but it's pretty much half price from what it was. I just assumed they were doing it everywhere

I just happen to walk up as the guy was changing prices. I got 475 rounds of Federal 5.56 for $89 and the Winchester 9mm 100 round box that op was talking about for $9.

Looks like it is all stores and they are changing prices right now. They will no longer be selling handgun and 5.56 ammunition.

I think someone was asking about 380: 95 grain 200 rounds of Winchester for $30

Also, the Walmart at 35 & 45 in Austin is now sold out of 9mm and 5.56. Sorry about that.

Yep. Same for the Bryan location at 2818 and Villa Maria. I spoke to the guy behind the counter and per our conversation he said none of the ammunition will be discounted. They'll just pull it at the end of the month.

Standing in Katy Walmart now. Plenty of handgun and AR ammo on the shelf. None of it marked down. Talked to a guy working and he said he knew they were going to stop selling certain calibers, but hadn't heard anything about it being marked down in price.

Just checked, no discounted ammo at the Seguin Walmart.

Dry run for me in Kerrville. Guy behind the counter said they're not marking it down, just selling it at regular price until the shipments that have slowed to a trickle come to a complete stop.

The emoji is a bit of an exaggeration. It's not like I'm about to run out of ammo any time soon and I have piles of brass and projos.

One thing I've learned about Walmart... download their app. They have a barcode scanner that'll pull in the price at that particular store on most items. I have found ALOT of stuff that was on clearance but wasn't marked. I have some fishing rods that are normally in the $50-80 range that I picked up for under $10. They weren't marked, but I knew they were last years model. Also, look for stuff in top stock that looks like out of season seasonal items (lawn and garden stuff particularly). Walmart employees often stash items up high that are on clearance to go back and buy them later. Found that out when I bought 3 pairs of lopers for $5 a pair, normally $30, and the lady told me I "couldn't buy those, they were hers".

Markdowns are few and far between. I've Ben watching locally weekly at several Walmart's and there are no discounts.

I had an employee at a Tractor Supply tell me the same thing about their ammo the other day. Said it was all being marked down 50% but he didn't know if they were going to stop selling ammo or what the reason was.

Haha if it is going by city, go to any of the other Round Rock locations. I didn't clear those out. If it is truly company wide the 35 and N Lamar location definently had the biggest selection.

Didn't know Tractor Supply carried ammo.

Stopped by Walmart in New Braunfels on my lunch break today. Last week they had the usual assortment of .223 & 5.56 and all at the normal prices. Today they were almost completely cleaned out. Only two 20rd boxes of Tulammo for $2.50 each.

Local Walmart only had shotgun and traditional rifle calibers for full price. Everything else was gone.

Picked some up. Even if pricing not marked should still scan. 9mm 45 380 40.223 556

Man, sorry about that. I meant to post an update earlier in the day about them being cleaned out already. I could have saved you a trip.

I didn't clean that one out though. I have two more on my list to check out tomorrow and I'll let y'all know.

College Station and the 2818/Villa Maria store are wiped out of 9mm, .40, 223 & 224 V. I guess they ended up discounting them.

I went at 2:15 and they were already gone

Caldwell had lots of 9mm last night. Rockdale had lots of 38, 40, 9mm left and some 223. They wouldn't sell after 11pm due to some stupid rule. (Was on the way back from Santa's bankroll wonderland).
