Personally I'm right there with you. Not the tundra part though. Tundras remind me of large versions of a late 90's Ford.
The new Chevys I think look awesome in promo pics and on commercials but everyone I see in person just doesn't work. There is just too much to them, buddy at work had one and I parked next to it to compare. Ground clearance seemed lower than my '13 but the bed was about 4-5" taller. That turns in to a whole lot of extra metal in the fenders and sides of the bed. I thought the last body style was the best thing since the 80's square bodies.
AC congrats on the new truck though. You like it and that's all that matters!

The only real issue is that it's black. Tough to keep clean but looks good when it is.

I just got a Trail Boss as well, and I love it! 4th Chevy in a row and I think it's the best one yet.

As a tools, straps, gloves, inflator, spare jacket, blanket under the seat of my truck guy, I will admit that the storage box in the side of the bed appeals to me. I'm not ashamed to say I like having what I need at hand in many cases.

It is really nice for those reasons but it does cut the size of the bed down significantly. If you haul things around in your bed regularly or have to haul wide items like a golf cart or ATV, it would definitely hamper your ability to do so.
